What’s in our Cakes and Frostings?

Our Cakes are made with real whole ingredients. Milk, Eggs, and butter. We use the finest Ingredients possible. Our cakes are made to have a delicious, soft buttery crumb but still be resilient enough for gentle to moderate handling for decorating.

Our frostings are Plant based and Dairy free.

What is in a Cake kit?

Cake kits contain 4 inch baked cake, 1-20 inch place setting, 1 wooden spreader, 1- 5.5 inch turntable, 3-100ml each, loaded frosting colors(pink, blue yellow) unless specified, Tips included are (round, star, and basket-weave) Colors and tips are assorted unless specified.

Major Allergen’s List

Our products may contain tree-nuts and/or peanuts, they also contain milk, eggs, wheat, and soy. Our baked goods are made in a home kitchen, We do not limit the use of any ingredients, therefore, Cakeables does not recommend that persons with any concerning food allergies to consume our products. Your safety is of our utmost priority.

Where can I find a list of ingredients and nutritional information?

All of our products have labels or cards that include all of the ingredients and allergen warnings.

How long will cake and frostings stay fresh?

By the time your Cakeables cake kits arrive to you, It is at its peak of freshness, Our products are best if consumed immediately or frozen immediately. Cakes can be frozen for up to one month.

However, if you do not wish to consume or freeze your cake kit, cakes can be stored in its own packaging and then placed in an airtight container or food storage bag on the counter for up to a day, or refrigerated up to 3 days.

Frosting can be refrigerated for up to 5 days but brought to room temperature before use.

How to remove packaging without damaging the cake?

We vacuum pack the cake in food grade biodegradable plastic so that it stays fresher longer, if you have access to a freezer, it is best to freeze cake before removing packaging because when cake is frozen, it can withstand harsher than normal handling. If you do not have access to a freezer than cut a slit in the the bottom of the cake onto the cake board and gently pull off the wrapping.

How to get best results when decorating cake

Cake should be chilled or frozen and Frostings should be brought to room temperature, however most people will have great results with room temperature cakes.

Frostings should always be brought to room temperature for easy piping, you can use the heat of your hands to bring to room temperature by massaging or holding the frosting in your hands.

Why should cakes be chilled or frozen before decorating with it?

because when cakes are chilled or frozen they can withstand handling a lot better but this is not necessary if using normal handling.

Can I freeze decorated Cakes?

Yes, Our cakes freeze well. To freeze decorated cakes, carefully, place decorated cake in the freezer on its own for 45 minutes or until frozen and then once frozen, the frosting should be set to the touch , tightly wrap the decorated cake in plastic wrap and store in the freezer.  When ready to eat, remove cake from freezer and remove all plastic wrap and let the cake thaw, to room temperature, preferably on a cake plate with a cover, Depending on your room temperature, it could take as little as 30 minutes to 4 hours.

Note, It is important to wrap cakes and frostings with plastic or a covered cake plate as products can pick up other aromas.

When should I place an order to receive it by?

  During busy seasons (Holidays and High rate Birthday months such as July, Aug, and Sept  ) we encourage you to place your order several weeks before you want it to arrive because we bake and ship fresh,  and  we sell out  quickly. We ask you to plan ahead in order to avoid disappointment.

Shipping and Local Delivery

We deliver locally within Orange County NY. At your request.

We use USPS two day shipping, To abide by NY State Cottage Food Laws. We only ship/Sell within New York State.

All orders placed before Friday at 12pm EST. will be shipped on the following Monday except on Holidays, then it will be shipped on Tuesday. All orders placed after, may ship out the following week.

Shipping Disclaimer

Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for delayed or undeliverable items due to incorrect or incomplete addresses. Please make sure that you have provided the correct zip code, apartment number, street number, or type of street (Blvd., Rd., Ave. etc.) to avoid a surcharge, Be aware that we instruct the shipping carrier that no signature is required, otherwise it could take Cakeables beyond its shelf life to be delivered to the correct address. However carrier may choose, at its sole discretion not to leave a package at the door if they feel it would be unsafe for any reason, carrier instead will leave a tag indicating how to arrange pickup or another delivery.

Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for undelivered cakes or delays in the receipt of cakes due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.

Due to COVID19, orders may experience a slight delay. Delivery by a specified date is not guaranteed.

Do I have to be home to receive my product?

We ship via USPS.  Cakeables ships without a signature required. However, USPS reserves the right, not to leave a package if the carrier feels that doing so could be unsafe for any reason.  

Help! My package is in transit and I need to change the address!

We are able to change addresses to orders placed online if it is brought to our attention before the cut off, Friday 12pm Est before Monday shipped days.

Return policy

We desire for each of our customers to be 100% satisfied with the products they purchase. If for some reason, you are unsatisfied please contact Cakeables immediately.

We will work together to resolve your case in an individual and timely manner. Under no circumstances will a refund be given for a product. In some cases we will offer to fix a mistake, replace a cake kit or certain contents of the Kit or provide a gift certificate towards a future purchase.
